Winner of the Vitæ Foundation Clinical Research Contest

Dr. Pierre Larivée, a pneumologist at the Fleurimont and Hôtel-Dieu hospitals in Sherbrooke, submitted the winning project of the Vitæ Foundation's clinical research contest. The project will examine the effects of a choir program on the quality of life, cognition, and lung capacity of seniors with respiratory problems.

Dr. Larivée received $5,000 from the Vitæ Foundation to lead his research. He will be backed by a research team at the Research Centre on Aging composed of Véronique Provencher and Lise Gagnon, both researchers at the CDRV, Nicole Marquis, a professor at the Université de Sherbrooke's school of rehabilitation, and Louise Drouin, a doctoral candidate working at the CDRV.
